Antique Platinum Rings
The first known source of Platinum used in our Antique Platinum Rings was brought to earth some two billion years ago by meteorite. It was recorded that in 1200BC Egyptians imported gold containing traces of Platinum from Nubia to make jewelry, perhaps Rings, however it was not clear as to whether the evidence of Platinum was intentional. In 700BC a casket of platinum was placed in the tomb of the King of Shepenupet's daughter. The magnificent sarcophagus was decorated with gold and platinum hieroglyphics for this important Egyptian burial. Pre-Incan civilizations and Spanish conquistadores encountered Platinum but it disappeared for long periods of time, emerging in the 18 th century to fascinate kings and alchemists.
