Diamond Rings
In 1936 King Edward VIII abdicated to marry divorcee Wallis Simpson, fine jewelry collector and lover of Diamond Rings . At the coronation, his wife, the late Queen Mother, wore a crown mounted with the Koh-I-Noor Diamond. It is said that whoever owned this Diamond, ruled the world. While legend suggests that this stone may date pre-Christ, theory indicates the possibility of its appearance in the early 1300's and evidence proves its existence for the past 250 years. This magnificent Diamond weighing 45.52 carats presently rotates under special lights designed to show off its sparkle at the Smithsonian in the Harry Winston Gallery, New York.
