Vintage Platinum Sapphire and Diamond Ring
This vintage platinum sapphire and diamond ring weighs 5.5g and measures 15mm wide and 6mm deep. Bezel-set within a 1930's platinum scalloped gallery is a sizable 2.76ct oval faceted 'deep blue' sapphire of 'good' quality measuring 9.6mm x 7.6mm, surrounded by a patchwork motif of bead-set single-cut diamonds collectively weighing 0.22ct and graded J color and SI clarity range. Despite the fact that this stone is dark, our fabulous photographer has managed to shoot a close-up of the crystal growth structure, characteristically at 60? angles.
