Filigree Rings
Constructed by hand in the 1930's in Platinum and later White Gold, finely crafted Filigree Rings were manufactured in several stages. Metal sheets were rolled out and the filigree pattern was stamped out with a press, piercing the metal to create the filigree effect. Once the ring pattern had been forged from the metal, it was then heated to make it malleable and domed to the required shape. This process involved molding the flat lacey sheet into the shape of a ring head with a supporting gallery. Sometimes the ring shank would be incorporated in the design and sometimes it was added later to form a beautiful Filigree Ring.
