These Victorian earrings in antique Hellenistic revival style with seed pearls and turquoise cabochons are crafted in 15ct yellow gold, weighing 6.2g and measuring 53mm long, 16mm wide and 6mm deep. These alluringly refined and aesthetically intriguing Victorian earrings are inspired by a 17th century popular style of Hellenistic pendant earrings incorporating a pair of gold discs decorated with rosette motif in the center. The large discs are adorned with a pair of round seed pearls, measuring 3mm in diameter, graded a warm and enchanting 'cream' color and suspend 'en tremblant' from the disc-shaped ear-clips through ornately scrolled loops and surmounting ringlets. Trios of temptingly delicate pear-shaped drops suspend 'en tremblant' from the pearl-adorned discs, reminiscent of the 17th century Hellenistic earrings exposing innumerable varieties of such trefoil drops, from the simplest pear-shaped, orbicular and ovular formats to the more elaborate figurines of Eros and other Greek mythological figures, the latter remaining in vogue throughout the 17th century. The ear-clips, decorated with rosette motifs in the center are adorned with a pair of turquoise round cabochons measuring 2mm in diameter, graded 'baby blue' color. These Victorian Hellenistic style earrings feature well-designed shepherd's hooks, complemented by C-hooks for additional safety and are designed exclusively for pierced ears.
