This Art Deco watch manufactured by 'Waltham’ in the USA is crafted in lavish platinum with a black silk cordette dual strap, adorned with baguette and single-cut diamonds. This authentic 1920's wrist watch weighs exactly 11.0g and measures 7.25 inches long, 18.5mm wide and 6.5mm deep. Epitomizing the refined evening watches in vogue during the Art Deco era, predominantly made in platinum and ornamented with diamonds, this delicate, geometrically themed and classically elegant ladies' watch features an immaculate, diamond adorned bezel of stylized orbicular format. The matted silver dial features applied gold Arabic numerals and blue steel hands, stamped 'Waltham Premier'. This authentic Art Deco wrist watch bears a 17-jewel mechanical lever movement, bi-metallic compensation balance, made by and signed 'Waltham Premier USA 17 jewels', with the reference and serial numbers '67' and '14094' respectively, while the case interior is stamped '900 platinum, 100 iridium'. The alluring bezel is adorned with single-cut diamonds, complemented by highly ornate slugs comprising pentagonal and rectangular open profiles, adorned with a baguette diamond duo cumulatively weighing 0.05cts, graded H color and VS1 clarity. The glowing bezel and the slugs are collectively bead-set with 0.40cts of single-cut diamonds, graded I color and SI2 clarity, enriched by skillful mille grain application throughout. This absorbing Art Deco wrist watch of unmatched finesse and aesthetic grace features base metal slides, a fold-over clasp closure and a pair of 3.5cmm safety chains and a spring-ring, attached to the strap finials for additional security. This captivating Art Deco wrist watch has been overhauled and is now in perfect working condition.

The Waltham Watch Company was established in 1850 in Massachusetts with the aim of 'creating the American system of watch manufacturing'. Changing its name to ‘American Horologe Co.’ two years later, the new company produced its first watches in 1852. After undergoing several changes of ownership and name, the new 'American Waltham Watch Company' founded in 1857 concentrated on manufacturing watch movements and became the main supplier of Railroad Chronometers within and outside the United States. The manufacture of Waltham watch parts was moved to Switzerland one century later, in 1957, adopting the name ‘Waltham International SA’. The latter now produces Swiss-made luxury Waltham watches as a full fledged member of the 'Federation of the Swiss Industry FH'.
