This aquamarine engagement ring in Art Deco style with diamonds is crafted in lavish platinum, weighs exactly 5.0g and measures 16.5mm wide and 5.5mm deep. In distinguished contrasting Deco style, this enchanting azure engagement ring exposes a significant, light-reflective bezel-set 2.42ct oval-faceted aquamarine measuring 12.05mm long by 8.07mm wide, graded a most delightful 'sky-blue' color and 'excellent' clarity, mounted within an ovular, finely mill grained platinum setting. This captivating center-stone is surrounded by a glowing border of bead-set European-cut diamonds, embraced by gracefully ridged, romantically curvaceous shoulders, each accentuated with a pair of decorative orbicular finials. The radiating perimeter and the shoulders are cumulatively enveloped in 0.32cts of bead and bezel-set European-cut diamonds graded H-I color and VS clarity range. This classically elegant Deco style engagement ring of alluring icy-blue contrast and aesthetic grace features delicate mille grain edgework, a botanically inspired pierced openwork under-carriage and a svelte, spherical platinum band, concluding with an easily sizable shank. Please note that this is a Special Order item that may take up to eight weeks to order if one is not presently in stock.

Deriving its name from the Latin meaning ‘water and sea’, aquamarine is one of the most fascinating gemstones on our earth. Like emerald, it belongs to the beryl family and has a good hardness of 7 to 8 on Mohs’ scale. It is almost entirely free of inclusions and its color ranges from an indiscernible pale blue to a strong sea-blue. The pure, clear sky blue, however, continues to epitomize aquamarine bringing out the immaculate transparency and magnificent shine of this gemstone. Aquamarine is mined in Brazil, Kenya, Madagascar, Zambia, and Sri Lanka, the most valuable gems coming from Brazil. The pastel blue color of aquamarine arouses feelings of sympathy, trust, harmony, and friendship, feelings, which prove their worth in lasting relationships. Since early times, aquamarine has been believed to endow the wearer with foresight, courage and happiness, it is also said to increase intelligence and make one youthful. As a healing stone, it is thought to be an effective treatment for anxiety. Aquamarine is the birthstone for the Scorpio sign of the zodiac.
