This Art Deco citrine ring with European-cut diamonds in antique style is crafted in lavish platinum, weighs 5.3g and measures 10mm wide and 6.5mm deep. In stunning color contrasting Deco style, this refined and immaculately crafted Art Deco citrine ring exposes a significant 4.44ct pineapple-faceted oval citrine measuring 12mm long and 10mm wide, graded an enchanting 'brilliant amber' color and 'excellent' clarity. Secured by quatrefoil prongs within a floating frame, this vividly-colored gemstone surmounts an immaculately designed, pieced openwork gallery, incorporating foliate-inspired profiles, enriched by skillfully chiseled borders. Elaborately detailed, geometrically inspired triumvirate shoulders are cumulatively bead-set with 0.12cts of European-cut diamonds graded I color and SI1 clarity, mounted within a triangular platinum frame. This intriguing Art Deco style citrine ring features a highly ornate tri-dimensional band with botanically themed hand engravings and a delicate knife-edge designed, easily sizable shank.

Deriving its name from the French word 'citron', meaning lemon, the gemstone citrine has a color palette encompassing ‘yellow’ to ‘gold’ to ‘orange-brown’ shades of transparent quartz. The darker orange nuances of citrine, referred to as 'Madeira citrine' named after the color of the wine, is generally considered to be the most valuable color. Most citrine is mined in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, where there is presently an abundant supply. Citrine, modern birthstone for November, is considered an alternative to topaz, but which is a separate mineral. In ancient times, citrine was carried as a protection against snake venom and evil thoughts.
