Acacia Creations products debuted in the U.S. in October 2007 and they have been working overtime to meet demand and couldn’t be happier! That’s because Acacia Creations operates according to fair trade principles and returns a percentage of each sale to each employee in Kenya. This means the more they sell, the more their workers and their families benefit! Also, because Acacia Beads are made from recycled magazines, the more they sell, the more paper they keep from being thrown away.
Below are just some of the men and women that make this one-of-a-kind jewelry in Kenya. Acacia Creations purchases finished beads at a fair price from the bead-makers in Kenya and Uganda, then bring them to the Nairobi workshop. In Kenya, the beads are meticulously sorted and strung into colorful, beautifully unique jewelry and accessories.
