This Art Nouveau diamond bracelet in antique style is crafted in solid 18k white gold, weighs 8.9g and measures 7.0 inches long, 6mm wide and 2mm deep. Epitomizing the classically elegant 'non-conformist' Art Nouveau style, this alluringly feminine diamond bracelet of naturalistic inspiration is composed of immaculately designed flower buds, absorbing leaves and gracefully scrolled stems. The delicate buds are collet-mounted collectively with 0.21cts of full-cut diamonds graded H color and VS2 clarity, complemented by 0.13cts of matching grade bead-set full-cut diamonds adorning the delightful leaves and stems. This Art Nouveau bracelet of outstanding aesthetic beauty characterizes the essence of the jewelery design and style of the period in which naturalism, suggestion of form, delicate turns and at times mystical imagery are inherent, all of which evoke an inexplicable emotional response. The exquisitely scrolled foliate-themed profiles are skillfully rendered in gold wire while the entire settings of diamonds are enhanced by impeccable mille grain application. This Art Nouveau style bracelet of unmatched finesse and aesthetic beauty is secured by means of a delicate yet well-constructed slide-in clasp closure stamped with 18k purity mark and two figure-eight safety latches for additional security.

This exclusive Art Nouveau style bracelet is a Special Order item. If one is not readily available delivery may take up to 12 weeks. Please note that Special Order items are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Deriving its name from a reputable Parisian gallery which opened in 1896, owned by a Mr. Samuel Bing, the Art Nouveau movement developed ideas originating from 'Maison de l'Art Nouveau' and sought to revive aestheticism in art, while influencing Western architecture, metalwork and interior design for roughly thirty years. It was introduced in England circa 1890 as a product of the movement initiated by William Morris and the Pre-Raphaelites, bearing the name of Arts and Crafts movement. The Art Nouveau style was fanciful, sensual and sensitive and featured feminine, free-flowing, curvilinear lines with asymmetrical natural motifs. Art Nouveau jewelry in most instances, was crafted in gold and incorporated pastel-colored stones that were used to reveal their own beauty and to accentuate rather than dominate. A notable event of this era was the discovery and revival of enamel effects such as cloisonné, champlevé and plique-à-jour, mostly attributable to the adoption of Japanese influx of art. Amongst the leading exponents of Art Nouveau were René Lalique and George Fouquet in France and Charles Ashbee and Henry Wilson in England.
