These antique Georgian berry spoons just celebrated their 200th birthday! Of identical design and of English origin, they are beautifully crafted in vermeil (silver-gilt)), weighing 116g and measuring 9 inches long, 1.75 inches wide and 14mm deep. This authentic pair of Georgian berry spoons are artistically chased with botanically inspired patterns on the handles and inside the spoon bowls, the latter rendered in exquisite repoussé work. The immaculately chased spoon bowls measuring 3.25 inches long, 1.75 inches wide, and 14mm deep depict botanically accurate 'berries' on stems with exquisite, finely textured leaves and scalloped perimeters. Both spoons bear the official hallmark of the Assay Office of London with the date letter 'M' denoting the year 1807.
