This Sterling silver picture frame depicting Queen Elizabeth II, weighs 829g and measures 12.38 inches long, 9 inches wide and 22mm deep. Designed in classically elegant ovular format, this vintage 1930's Sterling silver frame features an artfully chased surround of alluring 'striped' pattern, ball-shaped feet and deep green velvet lining and stand. The upper extremity of this frame is engraved with entwined, highly decorative monograms within an ovular frame, while the lower part is stamped with the maker's mark and 'STERLING 1146'. This captivating frame contains an original Press photograph of a regal smiling HM Queen Elizabeth II in official royal attire wearing the delightful Queen Mary's 'Girls of Great Britain & Ireland' tiara. This alluringly beautiful tiara was given to Princess May of Teck as a wedding present, with money raised by the 'Girls of Great Britain & Ireland'. May was a German princess engaged to Prince George, son of King Edward VII, and in later stages of her life, would be known as Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth II's mentor.
