These estate aquamarine earrings are crafted in 14k white gold, weigh 4.3g and measure exactly 1 inch long, 5mm wide and 2.5mm deep. Slender and impressive in design, these pendent earrings expose a pair of intriguing aquamarine briolettes cumulatively weighing 3.00cts. and measuring 9mm long and 5.2mm wide, graded an eye-pleasing 'sky-blue' color and 'good' clarity. A number of eight translucent and well-matched round-faceted aquamarines, measuring 3.5mm in diameter of matching grade cumulatively weighing 1.15cts complement the eye-catching briolettes mounted in orbicular, dual-tiered settings. The optimal combination of white gold and the pastel-colored aquamarines create a delightful icy-blue color-contrast, enhancing the aesthetic composition of these estate earrings, outfitted with posts and push-in clasps and designed exclusively for pierced ears.

Of Latin derivation, aquamarine combines 'water and sea', maintaining its position as one of the most fascinating gemstones on earth. Like emerald, it belongs to the beryl family with a durability of 7 to 8 on Mohs' scale of hardness. Frequently inclusion-free, the color may range from an indiscernible 'pale blue' to a strong 'sea-blue'. The pure, clear sky-blue however, continues to epitomize aquamarine bringing out the immaculate transparency and magnificent shine of this gemstone. Aquamarine is mined in Brazil, Kenya, Madagascar, Zambia, and Sri Lanka, the most valuable gems deriving from Brazil. The pastel-blue color of aquamarine is thought to arouse feelings of sympathy, trust, harmony, and friendship, feelings which prove their worth in lasting relationships. Since early times, aquamarine was believed to endow the wearer with foresight, courage and happiness, also being said to increase intelligence and encourage youthfulness. As a healing stone, it is thought to be an effective treatment for anxiety. Aquamarine is the birthstone for the Scorpio sign of the zodiac.
