Custom Wedding Band?
If you require a custom-made, contour-fitted matching Wedding Band to accompany this engagement ring, this option is only available at the time of Engagement Ring purchase. Please contact us for a quote by clicking on the Enquiries button and specifying if you prefer gold or platinum and if you would prefer it with or without diamonds. Due to the fact that this is a newly added feature, if there is no wedding band pictured, we have none to show you.

This estate fancy Sapphire Ring with diamonds is crafted in 14k white gold, weighs 7.3g and measures 9mm wide and 8mm deep. This Estate Ring of captivating, sophisticated and distinctly elegant aesthetic exposes a 1.60ct round-faceted fancy sapphire measuring 6.77mm long and 6.61mm wide, graded 'lively pale olive-green' color and 'very good' clarity. The alluring, tenderly colored corundum is mounted at the center of a stylized pyramidal plaque, depicting 'en diagonal' alignments of diamonds. The latter weigh cumulatively 1.00ct and are graded 'I' color average and SI clarity range. Channel-set between white gold tracks, the sparkling precious stones adorn the wide and gracefully sloping shoulders which taper to merge into a spherical white gold band and an easily sizable shank.

Although often considered synonymous with the color blue, sapphires can be beautiful beyond blue, capable of displaying bright firework and sunset colors: yellow, pink, green, yellow, orange and purple all of which are referred to as ‘fancy sapphires’. The pink variety of sapphire however, is known either as a ruby or pink sapphire, both belonging to the same mineral family named corundum and amongst the most beautiful and desirable colors. The most popular and sometimes the most expensive fancy sapphire is an orange variety with a fine pinkish undertone which has been given the poetic name ‘Padparadscha’ meaning ‘lotus flower’ which is very rare and sells at a premium as do the prices of fine blue sapphires. Other very popular shades of fancy sapphires are yellow and bright orange, with their delicate blended shades of sunset. As a rule, the more clear and vivid the color, the more valuable the fancy sapphire, but irrespective of the color, sapphires have combined durability and beauty for generations of pleasure.
