This vintage pear-cut diamond ring is crafted in lavish platinum, weighs 6.9g and measures 11mm wide and 6mm deep. This alluring 1950's vintage pear-cut diamond ring is inspired by the popular 'serpent rings' in vogue during the Victorian era. Reaching highest popularity in the 1870's, such rings were produced in a great number of versions ranging from plain gold rings designed as snakes coiled around the finger to more decorative rings depicting serpents with features set partly with precious and semi-precious stones. This vintage pear-cut diamond ring exposes twin pear-shaped diamonds weighing 1.37cts measuring 8.51mm long, 6.2mm wide and 3.71mm deep and 1.35cts measuring 8.53mm long, 6.11mm wide and 3.7mm deep. These highly refractive precious stones are both graded J (near colorless) color and VVS1 clarity, secured by trefoil prongs. A pair of artistically gracious scrolls emerging from the pear-shaped diamonds and resembling the coiled body of a serpent are channel-set with ten baguette diamonds cumulatively weighing 0.60cts, graded J color and VS1 clarity. This vintage pear-cut diamond ring of unmistakable feminine flair and monochromatic aesthetic features a delicate diaphanous gallery, a spherical platinum band, and an easily sizable shank.
