This vintage Retro rose-cut diamond ring is crafted in platinum-topped 18k yellow gold, weighs 5.23g and measures 12mm wide and 7mm deep. Characterizing the late 1940's bold and impressive jewelry design associated with 'the cocktail hour’- a fashionable element of post war society entertainment, this enticing vintage rose-cut diamond Retro ring is designed as a highly stylized openwork rectangular plaque composed of two gracefully convexed 'bridge style' components. An attention-seeking piqué rose-cut diamond of 4.5mm diameter, mounted within an appreciatively vaulted quadrangular setting, constitutes the center stone of this vintage Retro ring, flanked by matching grade rose-cut diamonds. The trio of antique diamonds is framed by an additional 14 piqué rose-cut diamonds graded I-J color measuring 2mm in diameter. The latter are mounted in white gold in parallel alignments, surmounting an asymmetrically themed, yellow gold openwork gallery. This vintage Retro cocktail ring features broad and tapering shoulders of angular design, a svelte yellow gold band of substantial width and an easily sizable shank.
