Vintage Rings
Although loosely used as a jewelry term, we apply Vintage Rings to cover the period from 1930 to 1950, not antique and not really estate. Although not a lengthy period of time, it encompasses the dainty Filigree Engagement Rings in platinum or white gold from the 1930's, still very popular today, mounted with European-cut Diamonds. Hollow chunky rose-gold Retro Rings typically set with rubies was a bold style well suited to the women in the 1940's who had taken over jobs left by men called to arms. These progressive women wore tailored suits, knee-length skirts and comfortable shoes, more appropriate for their jobs in commerce and industry.
