This vintage ring with a blue moonstone and single-cut diamonds is crafted in 18k white gold, weighs 10.3g and measures 26mm wide and 20mm deep. In captivating 1930's traditional design, this alluring vintage ring of exquisite aesthetic exposes a significant, light refractive and gleaming bezel-set 11.38ct oval cabochon blue moonstone measuring 16.5mm long and 12.5mm wide graded 'grayish-pink-with-a-blue-shimmer' color and 'semi-translucent' clarity. With its unique ethereal adularescent blue sheen this opulent center-stone is known for its 'magic' floating play of light and color. A glowing, ovular border of single-cut diamonds cumulatively weighing 0.64cts, graded J color and SI clarity range surrounds this enchanting center-stone, mounted in finely mille grained, triumvirate settings to create an absorbing, delicately scalloped perimeter. This intriguing ovular plaque surmounts a meticulously pierced gallery incorporating heart-motif open profiles. Ornately shielded and chased, diminutively descending shoulders merge into a spherical white gold band and an easily sizable shank.

Moonstone is one of the most fascinating gemstones on earth, surrounded by mystical and magical connotations. A member of the large family of feldspars which provide approximately two thirds of all gemstones on earth, moonstone is endowed with the magic phenomenon of ‘adularescence’ meaning scales of lamellas within the structure of the stone which enable the incoming light to refract and scatter. Termed by some as ‘nature’s treasure with sensuous and seductive charm’, moonstones should not only be admired but handled and lovingly worn to display her unique characteristics with fascinating light and color nuances. In spite of her fragile nature and a hardness which does not exceed six on Mohs’ scale, she is considered to be a sacred stone in India. Believed to symbolize ‘a holistic view of man and woman’, the moonstone’s soft shine supports emotional and dreamy tendencies of a person making her an ideal token of love and genuine feeling.
